Hundreds of Youth, Their Families Attend Annual Restore Games in Birmingham

Compiled From Wire Reports

Restore Games 2026 was more than an event — it was a movement.

Hundreds of young people and families came together at Birmingham’s Boutwell Auditorium for a day filled with sports, entertainment, career exploration, community resources, mentorship, and meaningful connections. From exciting competitions and live demonstrations to valuable conversations with community partners, Restore Games created a space where fun met purpose.

The event, hosted by the Jefferson County Family Resource Center in partnership with the city of Birmingham and Birmingham police, featured sports, team-building activities, and life skills workshops.

This year’s event brought together nonprofits, businesses, city leaders, law enforcement, educators, healthcare providers, and volunteers who all shared one goal: investing in the future of our youth. Every activity, resource, and interaction was designed to inspire confidence, build relationships, and connect families with opportunities that extend far beyond a single day.

While Restore Games 2026 has come to a close, the mission continues. Together, we are building safer communities, creating brighter futures, and restoring hope — one connection at a time.

Organizers said the Restore Games continue to grow each year and expressed hope that the connections made during the event will help keep young people engaged long after the day’s activities conclude.
